Speaking at the GHC Cincinnati Homeschool Convention |

I'll be speaking at the Midwest Homeschool Convention in Cincinnati. I'll be presenting on how to use Scratch to build video games. If you want to bring a laptop, you can play along, but I'll also have links to notes so you can do it on your own later, too.
I'll be hanging out at the "Old Schoolhouse" tech lounge for most of the convention, so please feel free to stop by and say hi. I'll have a couple of computers and I'll just be hanging out. Stop by if you want to learn more about any of the things I'm working on:
- Incorporating computing into your homeschool
- Using Scratch, Hackety-Hack, or other programming tools
- Building video games
- Using free multimedia tools
- Learning more about computer science as a discipline and a career
- Using Google earth to do amazing things
- Learning how web development can be taught and incorporated
- Give me some advice on what should be in my upcoming curriculum
- Take a sneak peak at a new game engine I'm building (it's really cool...)
If you've got kids interested in computing, please bring them by. I'd love to meet them and encourage them.
I can't wait to meet you in person. I've really enjoyed getting to meet the larger homeschool community through the magazine, and I'm really looking forward to the convention.
